Hello, I am Mike Holmes, Owner/operator at Broken Lead Wood Works. BLWW was founded in 2020 where I started designing and building furniture for family and local clients. I have been making since I was a kid. My first "job" was at 10 yrs old. I nailed sub-floor down on a new home being built. Made $5 a day! I was rich. I have an "can do" attitude! I am a firm believer "I can do anything I set my mind to". 

My love for woodworking really took off 15 years ago when I bought my first home. It was a fixer upper. That is exactly what I did , fixed it up! From rebuilding the porches to completely redoing the inside. We sold the house 6 years later for a decent profit. 

We built our forever home in 2017 but we didn't finish our upstairs. Fast forward to 2022 where I took on the task of GC. I pulled permits and scheduled the trades. However, I did 85% of the work. From laying the sub-floor, HVAC, trim carpentry, painting and installing all the electrical fixtures. Took 8 months but we passed every inspection, including the final. It was rewarding to accomplish such a large task.

I have made everything from wooden jack-o-lanterns to kitchen tables and kids beds to everything in between. 

I love making no matter the task.
